The site: Fashion Walk, Causeway Bay
Area: 3400ft2
Client: Maxim's Group
This is the first simplylife café in town with its shop front open to the street, with an alfresco seating area which conjures up the vibe of European leisure within the hustle and bustle urban hub of Causeway Bay. The façade of this classic bistro was set to resemble European buildings, with its dark wooden front door and brass door knob, bare brick work wall around the existing steel column, all to establish the imagery of a European streetscape. The restaurant layout revolves around three distinctive sections. The bakery retail counter near the entrance foyer greets visitors upon arrival; a partially open kitchen is set up near the shop front where patrons can take a glimpse of the behind-the-scenes through the waist to ceiling glass wall. Lastly, at the rear section of the restaurant, a bakery workshop with floor to ceiling glass wall fully exposed to Cleveland Street to draw attention from passers-by, showcases the gourmet expertise of the restaurant.
